Fanateanu Corneliu Antoniu opera/operetta (Romanian tenor), lied and oratorio, professor (born 18 Jan 1933).

Soloist at: Cluj Romanian Opera(1954-1960), Bucharest Doina Army Choir Ensemble(1962 1964), Bucharest Romanian Opera(1964 1988).Here he was also adjunct-artistic director(1976 1982)

He was also an excellent voice coach: Cluj Conservatory assistant (1960 1961), professor at Theatrical Art Institute Bucharest(1974 1976), professor at Bucharest Romanian Opera(1985 1988, 1992 1996), professor in Spain(1998), art speaking and voice coaching chair at Constanta Theological Institute. Lyric tenor with large vocal ambitus, with a high register of extraordinary clearness, Fanateanu distinguished oneself by theatrical expressiveness, sobriety of character interpretation, strictness of scores respecting, clearly diction, but above all natural expression of music, coloured with elegant phrasing, full of expressiveness.
